The Red Lion pub
Marston is located just South of Headington and Old Marston village. It is primarily a residential neighbourhood with the notable exception of hosting the John Radcliffe Hospital on its most Northern border, making it ideal for medical staff, patients and their respective families.
There is a well-worn and therefore well-looked-after cycle route into central Oxford, which takes two-wheeled travellers across the meadows from New Marston, over a bridge on the River Cherwell, past the southern boundary of The Parks to the junction of South Parks Road and St Cross Road near the Science Area of Oxford University. It is also possible to walk on footpaths across the meadows to the Parks, either via Mesopotamia Walk or Rainbow Bridge.
The local drinking establishment, The Red Lion, offers excellent pub grub and an authentic ‘ye olde pint’ and dining experience.
